REPO The Genetic Phenomenon

As this is my first official entry for Icons of Fright, I should be telling you all who the hell I am, but that will come later this week. For now I just wanted you all to see this video my editor Brian Smith and I compiled about the Hysteria that Repo! The Genetic Opera has been causing. By now you have probably heard of the film, and you may have even rented it on DVD or BluRay. The part you may not know is how amazingly fun the film is to see in a theater! After just a few months people are coming out to the midnight screenings dressed in costumes, acting the ENTIRE film out in front of the screen (known as shadow casting). It truly has become a phenomenon to be seen!

In the past very few movies have achieved this cult status, and now its your turn to see what the excitement is all about. You never know what cast member might show up to a screening. I personally have hosted many of these by playing a little puppet version of the Repo as a pre-show. Last week in Los Angeles almost Half of the cast and filmmakers were on hand to watch as the local shadow cast group called “Addicted To The Knife” performed!

Darren Lynn Bousman, the director of Saw 2, 3, and 4 is around to talk about this, and I hope to interview him about this whole craziness in the coming weeks! So Stay Tuned to ICONS OF FRIGHT for more Horror and Repo madness!
