ROB ZOMBIE AND SHERI MOON ZOMBIE PROMOTE DIMENSION FILMS’ HALLOWEEN II WITH A MEMORABILIA DONATION AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD TIMES SQUARE TUESDAY, AUGUST 18th AT 12:45 PM
WHAT: Rob Zombie and Sheri Moon Zombie will be at Planet Hollywood Times Square to promote Halloween II with a memorabilia donation in the main dining room.
Halloween II - - It is that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. H2 picks up at the exact moment the first movie stopped and follows the aftermath of Michael Myers murderous rampage through the eyes of heroine Laurie Strode. - - Written and directed by Rob Zombie; Halloween II opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, August 28th.
WHO: Rob Zombie - - horror rocker-turned-film director. Originally known as the hard rocking front man for the band White Zombie and later as a solo artist, Zombie would quickly add prolific video director and most recently film director to his already impressive resume. Best know for his directorial work on the high-octane classics The Devil’s Rejects (Lions Gate) and House of 1,000 Corpses (Lions Gate), Zombie also sat in the director’s chair for the 2007 box office smash Halloween (Dimension); a bold re-imagining of John Carpenter’s smash cult horror film Halloween (Dimension).
Zombie has recently wrapped a raunchy, R-rated, animated film entitled The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, to be released in later 2009, and is currently promoting his work on the forthcoming much-anticipated sequel Halloween II (Dimension 2009).
Sheri Moon Zombie - - has brought the role of Deborah Myers to life (and death) in the box office smash Halloween (Dimension 2007), and the forthcoming much-anticipated sequel, Halloween II (Dimension 2009). The character, which never appeared in the classic John Carpenters films, gave a depth and history the sociopath Michael Myers that audiences had never before seen.
Sheri started her career in 1995 playing a cat-suited go-go dancer in a video for the band White Zombie. Over the next several years she became a staple of MTV, appearing in over a dozen rock videos. In 2003 Sheri made the jump to the big screen with her head-turning portrayal of blonde psycho killer Baby Firefly in Rob Zombie’s cult hit House of 1,000 Corpses (Lions Gate). She would follow this up with a cameo in The Toolbox Murders (from the director of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist) and a reprisal of her role as Baby Firefly in the sequel to House of 1,000 Corpses entitled The Devil’s Rejects (Lions Gate).
Sheri is also staying busy with a variety of other projects. She started her own clothing line, Total Skull, in 2006. In 2007, Moon starred in a trailer for the faux film Werewolf Women of the S.S., a segment for the film Grindhouse (Dimension), and in 2008 appeared in an episode of Showtime’s Californication. She will also debut her voice-over talents in the role of Suzi-X, an ass-kicking secret agent, in the upcoming R-rated, animated feature The Haunted World of El Superbeasto.
