Ready or not, SAW VI is hitting theaters this October 23rd! And after some fairly strong promises from producer Mark Burg on the quality of the latest installment, we now know what it's about too! Here's the official synopsis for SAW VI from Lionsgate!

"Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw's legacy.  However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw's grand scheme is finally understood."

Long time SAW editor Kevin Greutert directs the latest sequel SAW VI from a script by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton (SAW IV, SAW V, FEAST 1-3). We assume Tobin Bell will be back as Jigsaw, Shawnee Smith as Amanda (both for flashback sequences), as well as Costas Mandylor. More on SAW 6 when we hear it!
