NEW TERMINAL HOTEL - LA FANGO 2009 PANEL!

On Saturday afternoon, April 18th, the West Hall panel room hosted a preview of the upcoming feature NEW TERMINAL HOTEL, and ICONS own Robg. moderated this panel. From the film, guests included writer/director BC Furtney, stars James Grabowski, Laura Leigh (who appeared in Furtney's FANGO BLOOD DRIVE short films), Ezra Buzzington, the always lovely Tiffany Shepis and Stephen Geoffreys.

Furtney kicked off the panel by debuting the first teaser trailer for NEW TERMINAL HOTEL. (Which you can now see on the filmmaker's official website HERE!)

As with most panels, we talked about the origins of the project and putting together the cast, most of which consisted of people that BC already had established relationships such as Leigh and Shepis. Getting Stephen Geoffreys was an honor for the filmmaker having been a huge fan of his genre work in FRIGHT NIGHT and 976-EVIL. At one point, Geoffreys talked about the surprising huge new fan base & revival of the vampire classic FRIGHT NIGHT.

In the film, Geoffreys plays Don Malek, a horror screenwriter whose sanity comes into question when he checks himself into the "new terminal hotel". Shepis plays his agent who eventually tracks him down in the hotel only to discover a body in his bathtub. From there, the other strange residents of the new terminal come into play and things aren't quite as they seem!

The funnest part of the panel was the on stage banter between Shepis and Buzzington, both jokesters & total trouble makers. They obviously had a lot of fun reflecting on the Pennsylvania shoot, which took place in a portion of an abandoned mental hospital. (!) Buzz talked a bit about his role in Rob Zombie's H2 (HALLOWEEN 2) and said he hopes his scene doesn't get cut out this time like it did in the first HALLOWEEN. Shepis talked about her next projects including the recently wrapped SICKLE and an upcoming film starring opposite screen legend Kirk Douglas. Geoffreys genre return feature SICK GIRL will be on DVD courtesy of Synapsis in August. Pictures below!
