I love STEPFATHER 2! It's been long out of print but now Synapse will be re-releasing the DVD on September 29th to coincide with the new theatrical remake of the original STEPFATHER. Fangoria reports that all the supplemental material from the original DVD release including the Jeff Burr (director) & Darin Scott (producer) commentary will be in tact, as well as a slew of new features. Additional extras include a featurette from Red Shirt Pictures containing interviews with the cast and crew, deleted scenes and the trailer. (The article also states Synapse is looking into doing a new transfer!) Very exciting stuff.

Also of note, Synapse will release SICK GIRL on August 25th. The indie flick written & directed by Eben McGarr marks the return of genre actor Stephen Geoffreys (FRIGHT NIGHT, 976-EVIL) and also stars Leslie Andrews. DVD artwork is below!
