The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that The CW has renewed 6 of their popular series including the hit show SUPERNATURAL, which will be moving on to it's 5th season. (Other renewed shows include SMALLVILLE's 9th season, GOSSIP GIRL and the new 90210) SUPERNATURAL tells the story of the Winchester brothers, Sam & Dean who began the series on a quest to vanquish nasty demons, monsters and other things that go bump in the night. The characters (and show) have taken on a life of it's own with the last 2 seasons & has gone in totally unpredictable directions. Both Winchester brothers kicked off the year by tackling some infamous "slashers" on the big screen - Jensen Ackles with MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D & Jared Padalecki going up against Jason Voorhees in FRIDAY THE 13TH. Here's to their 5th season on SUPERNATURAL, which kicks off in the fall!
