A building with a sole purpose – pure evil! ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS MISCHA BARTON IN WALLED IN. The Suspense Builds Starting March 17th!

If walls could talk at the Malestrazza House – they would SCREAM! On March 17th, Anchor Bay Entertainment, in association with Indigomotion, the genre label of Leomax Entertainment, will release the chilling psychological thriller WALLED IN on DVD . Starring motion picture and television sensation Mischa Barton (“The O.C.” The Sixth Sense), Walled In is the first English language film from famed French director Gilles Paquet-Brenner (Les Jolies Choises, or Pretty Things). WALLED IN co-stars Deborah Kara Unger (88 Minutes, White Noise), Cameron Bright (Juno, X-Men: The Last Stand) and Noam Jenkins (Saw II and IV). SRP is $26.97.

Recent engineering graduate Sam Walczak (Barton) travels to the middle of nowhere to supervise demolition of the mysterious Malestrazza building. However, Sam finds the building is not quite empty. The caretaker Mary (Unger) and her son Jimmy (Bright) are among the few straggler tenants left. Jimmy and Sam form a tenuous bond discovering the building’s numerous – and potentially lethal – secrets.

As Sam begins to unravel the clandestine details of the architect’s life and his astonishing building, she is drawn into a dark and frightening reality which forces her to accept her own dark past and turn the tables before becoming its latest victim…

- The Making of Walled In
- Theatrical trailer

Adapted by Paquet-Brenner from the best-selling French novel Les Emmeures by Serge Brussolo, Walled In is a chilling exploration of love, betrayal and how obsession begets madness. From his humble beginnings as a precocious honor student in a Paris Academy, to his tutelage in the dark arts of occult architecture, Malestrazza learns that many of the secrets upon which civilizations are built have been drenched in blood. When he is betrayed by his mentor and the woman he loves, his obsession to create the perfect structure leads him down a dark path where victims must be sacrificed in service of his grand vision.

The origin story of Malestrazza, the brilliant, yet disturbed architect and sociopath, will also be featured in a graphic novel due in comic book stores in April. Walled In, the graphic novel, will be released online featuring new content each week. The first chapter has just been released. For a preview of what’s to come, visit: www.walledinthemovie.com.
