THE MONSTER SQUAD on DVD July 24th!!!

Fangoria broke the news today on the official release date for THE MONSTER SQUAD DVD, which will be on July 24th courtest of Lions Gate Entertainment. Read on for the breakdown!
Apologies. But apparently the special features we originally had listed with this article (from the original Fango post) have yet to be confirmed and we were asked to remove them.

I assume the July 24th date is accurate. We just won't know exactly what features will be on the DVD release until an official press release is issued. We'll keep you posted!

EXCLUSIVE Behind The Scenes photos from BRUTAL MASSACRE!

A few months back, we did a set visit for Stevan Mena's horror/comedy BRUTAL MASSACRE, the follow-up to his acclaimed feature MALEVOLENCE. The film features recognizable genre icons such as David Naughton, Ken Foree, Gunnar Hansen, Ellen Sandweiss and comic actors Brian O'Halloran and Gerry Bednob. Below, we're unveiling some behind-the-scene pictures of Stevan directing Ken Foree and David Naughton. It's just a treat to see the two of them together in a film!

TYRESE GIBSON is set to star in CONDITION DEAD!

IESB.net is reporting that actor TYRESE GIBSON is coming off of The Transformers and going right into CONDITION DEAD, a new "no-holds barred zombie film in the vein of James Cameron's ALIENS" (!) Of interest is the producing team behind the flick. Read on for the details...
Moviehole.net's
CLINT MORRIS and Rock Shaink are producing CONDITION DEAD alongside Tyrese Gibson.

From the IESB post:

"Genre veteran, Patrick Lussier, fresh off Rogue's White Noise: The Light, is attached to helm the picture. As a director/writer/editor, Lussier has also worked on the films Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Scream and Dracula 2000.

Script, which centers on an elite team of government-subsidized zombie-hunters who are mysteriously ambushed by a viscous new breed of zombie, was written by tyro scribe Dave Davis.

Lead producer on the project, Los Angeles based Shaink says, “"Being a big fan of the genre (zombie films), I'm extremely excited to have found a project that brings something new to the world, and that gives us one hell of a great ride doing so.""

Ryan Rotten Launches SHOCK TILL YOU DROP site!

Horror journalist Ryan "Rotten" Turek has officially launched SHOCK TILL YOU DROP.com, the brand new horror division of Coming Soon.net. Most genre fans should recognize Rotten's writing from FANGORIA or Dread Central (or even earlier with Creature-Corner.com). But now he's on his own and it looks like it's time for horror fans to add another site to their favorites list!

In Ryan's introduction article titled "The Rotten Truth", Ryan writes, "What can you expect from Shock Till You Drop? My belief is that the prestige of print journalism can translate and survive on the web so while you'll be getting round-the-clock reliable news updates, keep your eyes peeled for insightful and informed features, set visits and interviews (sometimes via video) from myself and fellow CS staffers. The exclusives we're debuting with will certainly not be the last and reviews will be plentiful. Last, but not least, every Monday you can check back in this spot for a new edition of "The Rotten Truth" - my platform to spew whatever's on my mind about horror, whether it's current trends, a recent release, or a reflection on the oldies."

Billy Goes In-Zane in "The Mad"

Billy Zane's latest horror opus is going to feature zombies, meat that attacks people, and meat that turns people into zombies. Click below for the trailer to "The Mad"

THE MAD Trailer with Billy Zane!

Ok, so it doesn't look like that great but I've never seen a movie where meat attacks people. That's different.

Also you got Billy Zane playing the part of Bruce Campbell. Hell, why not? Zane's funny, plus he's done a few genre pieces, and I'm sick of seeing him play a creep. It looks well-done. Oh-ho-ho-ha-har-har. You can watch Zane get insane May 22rd on DVD from Genius.

Avatar to release 2001 MANIACS Comic Book!

It appears Avatar Press will be publishing a 32 page one-shot titled 2001 MANIACS SPECIAL #1, written by Tim Sullivan the filmmaker who wrote and directed the 2001 MANIACS movie and it's upcoming sequel. No release date set yet, but check out all the details from the press release below!
Avatar Press is returning to the horror genre we love, and will publish the first licensed comic based on the movie 2001 Maniacs. 2001 MANIACS SPECIAL #1 is fully-authorized by horror icon Robert Englund, and the comic features his likeness from the movie as Mayor Buckman. 2001 MANIACS SPECIAL #1 is written by the Writer/Director of the movies, Tim Sullivan, and it will be completely in-continuity with the original, second, and third movies. Spanish sensation Raulo Caceres will draw the comic, and it will be featured at the San Diego Comic Con supported by both cast and crew.

Robert Englund stars in this origin tale of the 2001 Maniacs written by director Tim Sullivan! Just in time for the second film in this horror franchise, and written by the director and writer of the 2001 Maniacs movies, this Special fits into the continuity of the films. Tim Sullivan tells, for the first time, the origin of the 2001 Maniacs, and introduces two new characters that will be featured in the second film, coming out this Fall! Fully-authorized and with his blessing, Englund’s likeness is used on his character Mayor Buckman in this gruesome tale of betrayal. This comic will be promoted with a special “making of” featurette on the DVD release of the second 2001 Maniacs film. No one but Avatar could bring this gory tale of tragedy to the comic page with the bleeding-edge story-telling the fans demand! This horrific issue is available with the standard, Wraparound, and Gore covers by artist Raulo Caceres, a Photo cover of Robert Englund as Mayor Buckman, and a special Englund signed edition that features a poster signed by Robert Englund, Tim Sullivan, and other members of the 2001 Maniacs cast and is limited to just 750 copies (ships with a certificate of authenticity).

Avatar Press is a comic book publisher that continues to push the boundaries between mainstream and independent with current and upcoming work from creators such as Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis, Brian Pulido, George A. Romero, George R.R. Martin, Joe R. Lansdale, John Russo, Mike Wolfer, Juan Jose Ryp, Jacen Burrows, and numerous others. The company has published a wide range of comic books including creator-owned titles like Garth Ennis’ 303 and Brian Pulido’s Lady Death, company-owned comics such as Pandora and The Ravening, licensed hits like Frank Miller’s Robocop and George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, and numerous other titles. A publisher that has established itself as one of the cornerstones of the American indy comic book scene over the past decade, Avatar has published some 500 comic books since 1997.

Slime City's Greg Lamberson Casts Erin Brown (aka Misty Mundae) in "Johnny Gruesome"

Filmmaker and novelist Gregory Lamberson ( Slime City and Personal Demons) has cast actress Erin Brown as the female lead in GRUESOME, the short film/music video based on his upcoming novel, JOHNNY GRUESOME, and rock CD GRUESOME.  Brown, known to softcore and horror fans around the world as “Misty Mundae,” stars as Karen Slatter, girlfriend of Johnny Grissom, a murdered head-banger who becomes the vengeful zombie Johnny Gruesome.

Erin Brown, aka Misty Mundae

“It’s a strange business,” Lamberson says.  “I originally offered the role to Erin , but she was busy on another shoot and wasn’t able to get back to me.  So I cast another actress, who then accepted a role in BACHELOR PARTY 2 that conflicted with my shoot. At that point, I was able to get hold of Erin , my original choice, so everything worked out for the best. From the minute I decided to cast a scream queen as ‘Johnny’s girl,’ I thought Erin was perfect for the role.”

Brown’s recent projects include the features SINFUL and SKIN CRAWL, as well as the “Sick Girl” segment of MASTERS OF HORROR, and she recently completed DYING GOD, scripted by Nicanor Loreti, in Argentina.

Johnny Gruesome

Even though he’s directed three micro-budget features, Lamberson calls the GRUESOME short “The most ambitious film I’ve made.  We’ve been shooting at the House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs (http://www.houseofhorrorsbuffalo.com/), two Halloween attractions outside Buffalo .  They share an 80,000 square foot space with numerous sets and mazes.  The owner and his crew have been rearranging the layout and building new sets for us, just because they’re into the idea-- it’s like having a film studio at my disposal. I rented a 1960 black caddy with fins to serve as Johnny’s car, The Death Mobile, and I’ve been using both a steadicam and a dolly for production value.”

Johnny Gruesome

With a name like GRUESOME, the music video includes its share of gore.  “I’m using a local effects guy named Dave Gray (http://www.grayeffects.com).  Last weekend, we filmed a scene in which Johnny (Ryan O’Connell) bites the middle finger off a cheerleader (Jenifer Bihl).  There was plenty of red stuff on his face and on the floor.”

The video will premiere on-line in mid-summer, ahead of the August release of the CD and the novel’s September publication.  A comic book adaptation of one chapter of the novel is available at www.johnnygruesome.com.

Grandma's Sloppy Seconds: An IoF FIRST LOOK Review!

They say most people don't like horror and comedy mixed together. Those people have never seen one of Jeff Hayes's "Grandma" movies.

Jeff Hayes is a sicko and he's got sicko tastes in movies. This guy spends hours a day on the interwebs working on a website devoted to a trashy 80's slasher flick where a 12 year old girl with a penis murders small children and dumps boiling pots of hot water on pedophillic (but otherwise perfectly nice) summer camp cooks. To top it off this banana has made two films himself, and both star his own grandmother as a satanic, sometimes supernatural, psychopathic slasher.

Of course, he's one of Icons favorites, and this year Jeff is independently releasing "Grandma's Sloppy Seconds", the follow-up "Grandma's Secret Recipe".

Even if you've never seen "Grandma's Secret Recipe" no need to worry. "Sloppy Seconds" neatly wraps up the leftovers and recaps the events of the first short. It's fairly simple. Several years ago Grandma went a little crazy over the cooktop and stabbed her (obnoxious) granddaughter Susie to death. After cooking her up, her son Jimmy met a similar fate. Grandma disappeared, but the murders became infamous and her house a local tourist attraction. However, this year, just as the house is about to ramp up tours for the season Grandma returns to kill again.

Grandma is played by the lovably evil Barbara O'Connor. I don't know about you, but there's a certain charm to watching a 78 year old woman killing teenagers with landscaping equipment while pontificating in speeches that usually start, "Now listen, bitch!". James O'Connor plays Jimmy's Ghost who is hilarious when returns from the afterlife shouting, "Oh good lord, heaven's to Betsy, she's back!" Even the possessed body of Susie from "Secret Recipe" returns. "Sleepaway Camp" fans will love Felissa Rose's appearance as reporter Angie Angel.

Now it's all a bit ridiculous, of course, and not to be taken seriously, but director Hayes knows this and keeps the mood light and campy. Murdering septogenarians, heavy New England accents, and an atmosphere perfect for Halloween ghost storytelling. Sure, it's goofy, but never goes too over-the-top.

The film is technically superior to the first film, which wasn't very tightly edited and sometimes seemed a little stiff. It surprised me that "Sloppy Seconds" is longer than the original since it's 45 minute running time goes by very quickly. Today when it seems like every other short filmmaker is out to recreate a zombie epic in their backyard or direct their own 5 minute "Hostel" it's great to come across something like "Grandma's Sloppy Seconds" that is never pretentious or heavy-handed. It's just great horror fun.

One full year ago in May of 2006, our buddy Kevin Klemm launched a new column here on Icons Of Fright called GRINDHOUSE AFICIONADO. Kevin grew up watching all the classic "grindhouse" movies, and his column quickly became one of our favorites sections to this site. (Rivaling John Torrani's 'Movies The Bad Kids Like') Well, with the release of GRINDHOUSE today in theaters, we thought it was time to re-look over the wonderful editions that Kevin's submitted to us over the past year. And rest assured, there's more to come.

GRINDHOUSE AFICIONADO ISSUE 1 - (May 2006) - Fight For Your Life, THRILLER: A Cruel Picture & I Spit On Your Gave.

GRINDHOUSE AFICIONADO 6/6/06 "WHAT THE HELL?!" EDITION - (June 2006) - Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter & The Halfway House.

GRINDHOUSE AFICIONADO ISSUE 2 - (July 2006) - Deadbeat At Dawn, Combat Shock & Switchblade Sisters.

Remembering Bob Clark

A few days ago, we were shocked to discover that legendary director Bob Clark and his son Ariel were killed in a horrible car accident. While there are still no words to truly sum up how we collectively feel, we felt the best thing we can do is remember and celebrate Bob and his films. Our staffer Jsyn first interviewed Bob Clark back in April of 2005 and he had remained a friend ever since. Take a moment to re-read that original interview:

And if you're not familiar with some of his work, please keep this memory alive by re-discovering some of the classic films he made in ALL the genres of film. Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, Deathdream, Murder By Decree, Black Christmas (the original), Porky's, Rhinestone, Turk 182, Loose Cannons and of course A Christmas Story. (Along with a dozen others.)

Rest In Peace, Bob.

Grind House – noun – A downtown movie theater - in disrepair since its glory days as a movie palace of the '30s and '40s - known for "grinding out" non-stop double-bill programs of B-movies.

From groundbreaking directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez comes the ultimate film experience: a double-bill of thrillers that will recall both filmmakers’ favorite exploitation
films. GRINDHOUSE will be presented as one full-length feature comprised of two individual films helmed separately by each director.  Tarantino’s film, “DEATH PROOF,” is a rip-roaring slasher flick where the killer pursues his victims with a car rather than a knife, while Rodriguez’s film explores an alien world eerily familiar to ours in PLANET TERROR.  Welcome to the Grindhouse - it’ll tear you in two.

DON COSCARELLI talks new PHANTASM?!

Writer/Director DON COSCARELLI recently sat down for an interview with those fine fiends at Dread Central and revealed some news on the future of the PHANTASM series. Here's what Dread's Uncle Creepy discovered for us fright fans...

On Phantasm 2 for a US DVD release?

"Sadly, I don’t have any inside word. Universal holds the rights, and they have a lot of movies to release. I don’t think they’re going through their catalog and releasing movies with Roman numerals attached to them yet. I certainly will continue doing what I have been doing, calling them every six or eight months to find out if there’s any movement."

On Roger Avery's epic PHANTASM script?

"I hate to tell you this, but as of now the epic Phantasm project, which was originally called Phantasm 1999 and had a script by Roger Avary, will definitely not be made," Don revealed to us. "The screenplay was hyper violent, epic in scope, had a terrific role for Bruce Campbell in it, but we just couldn’t find a studio exec who was visionary enough to see the potential."

Is there hope?

"But there’s still life in the old franchise, though!" he continued. "The fans and the cast members are always asking me when the next one’s going to be as well, so we rolled around ideas and finally we have a screenplay written. It’s really quite interesting in that it answers a lot of questions; now it’s just a question of finding the opportunity to get this thing going."

Legendary Director Bob Clark and son killed by DUI driver

This is truly unbelievable. The LA Times is reporting that legendary director Bob Clark and his son Ariel were killed by a drunk driver last night on the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades near where Clark resided. The driver was under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license and was hospitalized with minor injuries. (Of course) The details from the original article from the LA Times are at this link:

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-crash5apr05,0,6240856.story

This news is just... unbelievable. Myself and the rest of the Icons staff are completely heartbroken to hear this. Jay had maintained a friendship with Bob since his Icons interview back in May of 2005. We all had the opportunity to spend time with Bob in the 2 years that followed and he was always the sweetest, nicest, most humble man you could possibly imagine. He often talked to us in great detail & with such enthusiasm about his plans for his next movie, which would have had him coming full circle in his filmmaking career to remake 'Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things'. And now, it is an absolute tragedy that because of some irresponsible drunken douchebag, we've lost a truly wonderful man & a legendary filmmaker.

Every Christmas for the rest of our lives, we will probably always have multiple showings of Bob's A Christmas Story. We recently all got together to screen the original Black Christmas which still to this day holds up as one of the scariest, most effective horror movies ever made. Teen comedy movies would not be what they are today if not for Bob's movie Porky's.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Bob's family for their double-loss. I hope that a little justice is found in the outcome of this incident.

Rest in peace, Mister Clark. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for everything you've done for us.

THE ZOMBIE DIARIES trailer over at Dread Central!

The boys over at Dread Central have scored an exclusive trailer for the UK zombie flick THE ZOMBIE DIARIES. Written and directed by both Michael Bartlett and Kevin Gates, the film offers a slightly different perspective on the way a zombie story is told by breaking it up into a non-linear order, ala Pulp Fiction.

This Icons writer is personally excited by the documentary/Blair Witch style for this zombie epic as implied by the trailer.

DVD Review: Bottom Feeder

"Bottom Feeder"....exactly.

I want to be mean to this movie because it is, really, terrible. For me it wasn't even enjoyable as a horror movie. It just seems assembled out of the bits and pieces of other terrible direct-to-DVD or Sci-Fi Channel movies. It's cheap. It's not scary, and the monster is ridiculous.

As far as it being worthy Crap Cinema, it's even borderline disqualified there. It does have Tom Sizemore in the kind of role Tom Sizemore really is too good to play, so well, at least it has chintzy celebrity ha-ha value. I did appreciate that there was monster in a suit, but what's with the make-up in this movie? The creature and this burned up character, they both look like they were dipped in olive oil. They're all shiny. I'm assuming they must have used some of that new silicone makeup, the kind that creates a skin-type mask on the actor. Didn't they think to powder it down or anything?

The other casting is borderline stupid, there's some emo-looking kid (with my haircut from 3 years ago, ya thief) who's supposed to be part of the city sewer maintenance workers. He gets knocked off pretty quickly, so if emo kids getting their faces scratched off is your kind of entertainment, here you go.

It's not even remotely scary enough to be good, and it's even terrible at being bad. "Bottom Feeder"? More like bottom scraper.

The DVD is unrated. It features a making-of featurette and a trailer.

EXCLUSIVE PICTURES: Babylon Fields, Upcoming CBS Zombie Series.

Icons of Fright stumbled upon the final day of shooting for the pilot episode of "Babylon Fields", the upcoming zombie horror series that will be airing on CBS.

(Welcome Ain't It Cool News visitors, thanks for coming by, be sure to check out the rest of Icons of Fright while you're here!)

Today as I was crawling out of bed my brother called me. "Mike. There's a bunch of zombies and cops at the cemetery up the street". What? Could it be? The end of the world, right at my doorstep? I grabbed my cameras and jumped into my car to check it out.

Right at the end of my block at Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale, NY there was indeed a mass infestation of the living dead. I couldn't believe my eyes. Zombies. And cops. And...production assistants?! I immediately put on my reporter hat (it's green, kind of houndstooth/plaid pattern, looks good, great stuff) and searched for anyone who might look like they were in charge. I approached one zombie who told me he was just with the casting agency and he pointed me to a P.A.

The P.A ended up being a nice young woman named Sara, a location manager. She told me this was the final day of shooting on the pilot of "Babylon Fields". It's being directed by Michael Cuesta (who has directed episodes of the cable series "Dexter" and "Six Feet Under" and wrote and directed the feature "L.I.E."). The series will star Ray Stevenson ("Rome") and Amber Tamblyn ("The Grudge 2").

I noticed that the zombies looked very old-school, and I mean old-old school like "Night of the Living Dead". The extras I saw all were in suits and funeral clothing with a smattering of gray and white makeup. There didn't appear to be any big prosthetic zombies. The scene they were shooting seemed to involve the zombies making their way out of the cemetery gate, as the extras filed in and out of it several times over the course of 2 hours. There was heavy use of fog machine and big water trucks coming around several times to make sure the cemetery streets were kept wet at all times. I didn't see any of the major stars of the show, just a lot of extras doing the zombie shuffle, or hanging out and sitting on the street or tombstones waiting for the director to call them back in. I also thought it was pretty funny that the production's only bathroom was in the back office of a Christian book store right next to the cemetary. Watching zombies go in and out of the bookstore, that's comedy.

The PA I spoke with said the mood and atmosphere they appear to be going for was kind of tongue-in-cheek. I could believe that, based on how the zombie extras looked, but I suppose we'll have to wait for the series to air to find out. I mean, Cuesta's other work on "Dexter" certainly shows he's got a penchant for the darkly humorous. So, anyway, here's the pictures I managed to get. It's mostly pictures of zombie extras, sorry about that, it was tough getting closer because they were making heavy use of the edge of the cemetery.  Also, the quality is a bit tough, these are mostly screen grabs from my camcorder. I was very unprepared for class, with just my cell phone and camcorder, but dude, when someone says you've got zombies at the end of your block you grab and run. Run right toward them!

Severance: FIRST LOOK REVIEW

Let's just clear this up: A lot of reviewers are going to throw around "Shaun of the Dead" when reviewing "Severance" because it's a British produced horror-comedy, but the two films are extremely different. "Severance" cuts across and bends genres deftly that it's a horror-comedy that goes beyond just referencing other films and playing off genre conventions. Director Christopher Smith clearly knows the horror playbook, but isn't satisfied with just playing it strictly for laughs or scares. What at first seems to be something along the lines of "Friday the 13th" meets "The Office", ends up going off in a surprising direction which helps make "Severance" one of the most satisfying horror-comedies I've seen.

Severance Poster

It begins with a man and two barely dressed woman running from someone in the woods. One of them is then violently strung up and brutally stabbed to death, in a scene that seems plucked from any number cheap slasher films. Then, the film shifts tone (something "Severance" will do several more times) and we're introduced to our main characters. Not a group of horny teens, or a cynical 20-somethings, instead a team of office workers and their manager out for a team-building exercise. A strange group for a horror film, but that's one the film strong points, the characters aren't stock, aren't that familiar slasher fodder, and immediately give the film a unique unpredictability.

Severance: Danny Dyer Severance: Claudine Blakley

Soon, after a fight over a detour, they find themselves without a bus driver in the middle of the woods, and they must walk to the cabin their company has provided for the team-building. Once they arrive, "Severance" plays out, for the next 45 minutes, much less like a slasher film and more like an episode of "The Office". This gives us time to meet the characters: The tripped-out, stoned Steve (the hilarious Danny Dyer), the brown nosing Gordon (Andy Nyman), asthmatic Jill (Claudine Blakley), Maggie (Laura Harris) the somewhat cynical American. just-doing-his-job Billy (Babou Ceesay), and the constantly put-upon, not very strong-willed frustrated office manager Richard (Tim McInnerny).

Severance: Danny Dyer Severance: Laura Harris and Andy Nyman

Team building doesn't go as expected when the company lodge ends up being a dump, the only food they can find is a several month old pie, and Jill thinks she's been seeing a masked man hiding in the woods (oh, what could that mean?). They decide to try send Harris and Jill to find a phone to call the bus driver, and what they then find is the bus driver horribly mutilated. Meanwhile, a game of paintball turns...a little red when the rest of the team discover parts of the woods have been littered with bear traps. This is when "Severance" goes from brightly-lit comedy to and turns, suddenly, very dark, tense, moody, suspenseful, and of course, extremely violent. At this time, what ever Jill thought she saw in the woods finally begins to make himself known and the team is forced to hole up in the lodge.

Severance touches horror and action, as well.

A major shift in tone like what begins the second act of "Severance" is designed to throw the audience off guard, but since it's so dramatic with a less confident and talented director you could also risk throwing the audience into confusion. However, because "Severance" has been toying with us as an almost farcial comedy for 45 minute and we've gotten to like and know all the main characters very well, the transition to ass-kicking horror jolts you instead. You almost don't give a second thought when "Severance" goes from funny to fright because almost everything that follows works extremely well. Also, Smith carries over just the right amount of tongue-in-cheek humor from the first act to lighten the mood when things become very grim. This fantastic balance is key to why "Severance" works so well as both a comedy and a horror film.

            Severance: Laura Harris

Still, "Severance" deviates from the formula once again later on. You can be sure that no only does this film satisfy horror fans, but any fan of exploitation action films will be as surprised as I was by the third act of this very unique film. Hopefully you'll get to see "Severance" where it deserves to be seen, in a major theatrical release. I was very surprised by the audience reaction to this film. Despite the British humor us American's aren't supposed to get, despite it being a horror-action-comedy hybrid which everyone is supposed to hate, and despite there being not real big name stars the crowd I saw it with was laughing, screaming, and cheering right up until the end. I give "Severance" my highest recommendation.

LOST Harry Penderecki Film, "People Pesticide" FINALLY To See Release

Harry Penderecki's "People Pesticide" will finally see a DVD release in early June 2007, according to LMB Productions. Rights issues between Harry and producer Russ Clark were put to rest in a private settlement in January finally clearing the way for the film to hit the home video market.

"People Pesticide" was schedule for release shortly after being shot. The film also faced prolonged legal wrangling with Apple Corp. LTD, notorious for dragging out rights and clearances issues for years, due to Penderecki's heavy use of elements borrowed from the Beatle's "Abbey Road" album.

However, with all these legal issues cleared up this lost horror classic-to-be will finally be available for a new generation of horror fans to appreciate:
