A film from New Zealand that isn’t from Peter Jackson or WETA. Are they allowed to do that? Well apparently they are, and they can come up with some fun stories as well. John and Dwayne set off on a holiday to have a good time. They get into an accident when they meet up with Kate and Aidee, but something just isn’t right. Maybe it is the big behemoth guys who claim to be their boyfriends, or maybe it is the way they drive at break neck speeds on dirt roads. But the guys just aren’t feeling right. The girls offer to take John and Dwayne to a party, so they hop in for the ride and off they go. Along the way they bump into more and more spooky people. How can so many odd characters be out in the middle of nowhere on a country road? The film reminds me a bit of Hellgate as ghost stories go, but trust me, the acting and cinematography on this film is 100 times better. After seeing some of the stuff coming out of Australia, and we know what comes out of New Zealand, this area of the world is starting to look like the place to watch for quality film.
